A true second opinion
Dr. Lodi incorporates all of these disciplines:
When diagnosed with cancer, a term that has become synonymous with death and carries no real meaning, a person’s life comes to an abrupt halt. All hopes, plans and dreams suddenly become irrelevant. It is as if their future had been stolen. All neurological connections from the amygdala, the location in the brain that processes fear, to the prefrontal cortex are short circuited rendering it impossible to make decisions or even think clearly at a time when clarity of thought and the ability to think critically are essential to the person’s survival. Being acutely aware of this newly acquired handicap, their fear multiplies further crippling even further the ability to think as their emotions spiral downward leaving them with a feeling of utter helplessness.
Yet, it is precisely at this moment that people have the right and the need to know the truth about their condition, what options are available and what each option offers in terms of prognosis, i.e., survivability and quality of life. And, as with any major life decision such as education, marriage, divorce, death of a loved one, purchasing a home or even purchasing an automobile, it is prudent and necessary to discover through research which, of all the options available would best suit that individual’s needs, desires, culture, and lifestyle.
Seeking a second opinion is the first step in this process of due diligence, yet we live in a culture where medical education has become standardized based upon consensus by only one of the medical or healing disciplines, e.g., allopathic, conventional oncology. However, a true second opinion requires that the professional rendering this second opinion has been educated, trained and is experienced in, not only conventional medical options, but in all of the options offered by the various disciplines from Traditional Chinese Medicine, Ayurvedic medicine, chiropractic, homeopathic medicine, naturopathic medicine to osteopathic medicine and conventional allopathic oncology.
Simply seeking opinions from the leading cancer hospitals in any country will result in two, three or even four first opinions, since each will have been trained in the same discipline using the same algorithmic decision trees. It is like looking for the most suitable new car by visiting 4 different Toyota dealers. None of them will discuss the benefits of a BMW or Ford.
For this reason, Dr. Lodi has decided to once again offer true second opinions.
Request your consultation1 to 2 hours of focused, one-on-one guidance
A private consultation is an opportunity to step away from fragmented information and look at the whole picture. Dr. Lodi will help you understand your current situation, the options available to you, and the factors that may be most important in deciding how to move forward.
Dr. Lodi will review your health history, current health status, laboratory results, imaging studies such as CT, MRI, PET and ultrasound, pathology reports, medications, supplements, previous interventions, and other relevant information. The goal is to help you understand what the findings mean and how they fit together as a whole.
You will receive a clear explanation of the conventional medical perspective and its available options, together with relevant perspectives from integrative, nutritional, metabolic, psychological, mind body, and other healing disciplines. The purpose is to give you a broader understanding of the possibilities available so that you can make informed decisions.
Your consultation may include specific guidance regarding nutrition, supplementation, detoxification, sleep, movement and exercise, stress, emotional wellbeing, spiritual practices, personal relationships, occupational concerns, and other lifestyle factors relevant to your circumstances.
This is your time to ask the questions that matter to you. Dr. Lodi brings together decades of experience across medicine, psychology, clinical nutrition, integrative approaches, and the spiritual dimensions of healing to help you examine your situation from multiple perspectives rather than through a single medical lens.
Your Zoom consultation will be recorded and provided to you within 24 hours, allowing you to review the discussion at your own pace and share it with family members, friends, physicians, or other trusted advisers if you choose.
The goal of the consultation is for you to leave with a clearer understanding of your present situation, a broader awareness of your options, and practical next steps that you can consider as you decide how you wish to proceed.
